E Komo Mai "Welcome" to Ha'iku.
Haiku, Maui is located on Maui's northshore, up in elevation ~400'-900', 8-minutes' drive east of Paia town and known for its lush tropical landscape with morning & evening showers and frequent rainbows in the sky. You'll find cooler temperatures here, compared to sea-level locations on the island w/ light to moderate breezes from Maui's tradewinds.
Similar to Paia town, accommodations options in Haiku are in more rural or residential settings and vacation rentals include countryside cottages, homes and estates. At the Haiku Market Place and Aloha Aina Center, in the heart of Haiku town, are a grocery store, cafés, restaurants, food trucks, shopping, post office, massage, yoga, a fitness center plus a variety of local businesses. More food trucks, farm stands, shopping and crafts can be found along Hana Hwy, including Jaws Country Store; and at the Pauwela Cannery Center on W. Kuiaha Rd.
From Haiku town, it's a 5-minute drive to Ho'okipa Beach and Mama’s Beach, 10-minute drive to Baldwin Beach, 15-minute drive to Twin Falls for waterfalls, and 10-minute drive upcountry to Makawao Town.
Notable favorite eateries: Nuka for sushi, Colleen’s for burgers/pizza, King's Chinese BBQ, Veg Out, Mediterranean Grill food truck.
