The Maile Bungalow generally was nice and well-equipped. We greatly appreciated the washer and drier - a real plus that makes packing easier. The hot tub is a plus!
Haiku is a pleasant surprise. The quiet was much appreciated. We had been on Maui before and drove through Haiku, barely noticing the town. We appreciated the food shopping and restaurants there. Makawao was a very nice surprise, too; it is just the right mix of shops, galleries, and restaurants. Paia has changed a lot from our last trip - it's not the sleepy little surfer town left over from the 1960's that we once knew.
